Crescendo Fundraising Professionals is honored to partner with the Gering Public Library Foundation as it explores an exciting vision for the future of the Gering Public Library in Gering, Nebraska.
For more than six decades, the Gering Public Library has been a cornerstone of learning, connection, and community life. Today, the library continues to play an important role in the community, welcoming more than 29,000 visitors annually, circulating more than 32,000 materials, and offering hundreds of programs for children, teens, and adults.
As the needs of the community have evolved, so have the needs of the library. The Gering Public Library Foundation is exploring an approximately $8 million transformational renovation and expansion project designed to create a more accessible, modern, and welcoming facility for generations to come.
The proposed project would address several important needs, including improved ADA accessibility throughout the building, updated technology and infrastructure, enhanced fire safety systems, and dedicated spaces for children, teens, and lifelong learners. Plans also envision a new community center with flexible gathering and programming space that could better serve local organizations and residents.
Crescendo has been selected to conduct a Campaign Readiness Study to help the Foundation determine the viability and philanthropic potential of the proposed project. As part of the study, our team will gather confidential feedback from community leaders, donors, library patrons, and other stakeholders.
The insight gathered through this process will help the Foundation better understand community support, refine project priorities, develop an appropriate fundraising strategy, and determine the timing and next steps for a potential capital campaign.
